Vacheron Constantin brings its latest pop-up exhibition to Sydney to “Explore All Ways Possible” in true Vacheron Style.

Exploring the world of Vacheron Constantin never gets dull. The Maison has over 270 years of history, and over that time has created some remarkable timepieces. From historical pocket watch models, gorgeous Métiers d’Art watches to the new Overseas models and the 222, there are watches for every occasion and wrist.

This week, Vacheron Constantin brings this year’s theme, “Explore All Ways Possible”, to Sydney in a pop-up exhibition at The Rocks, which takes people on a journey from 1755 through to 2026. We had a sneak peek prior to opening, and if you want to get in to see the new exhibition and “Explore All Ways Possible” with Vacheron Constantin, then contact the King Street boutique in Sydney to book a spot.

It All Started In 1755

We start the tour with a brief walk through time with some of Vacheron Constantin’s historical models, of which have helped shape Vacheron into the brand we know today. From pocket watches at the turn of the 20th century, through to Vacheron Constantin’s modern history with the Overseas collection, and some stunning creations from the Métiers d’Arts departments.

Examples like the above, and more at the exhibition, remind you of the varied styles, techniques and watches Vacheron Constantin has produced over the decades.

The Modern Era

Walking through, you’re greeted with the modern maison, with examples of the collections you would find in any Vacheron boutique today. From Traditionnelle, Patrimony, Égérie and Overseas, the exhibit has some great examples from the ‘entry’ level to the high jewellery watches.

One of the eye-catching parts of the display is the digital wall that adds to the theme of Vacheron Constantin this year. The first thing you will notice is that it isn’t like anything Vacheron Constantin has done before, and in fact, the entire exhibition has artistic graphics throughout. This is the work of artist Shan Jiang, a highly acclaimed illustrator who blends contemporary ideas with subcultures and traditional superstitions. The art gives the exhibition a vibrancy and whimsical nature, and to be honest, it’s kind of cool to see a brand like Vacheron taking this on.

The Four Corners Of The Globe

Vacheron has saved (arguably) the best for last. The 2026 Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points. Released this year at Watches & Wonders, this incarnation of the third-generation Overseas is a direct descendant of the 2021 Everest model created for adventurer and photographer Corey Richards for his Mt. Everest summit back in 2019. But first, a walk through the immersive hallway…

With four models on display – North (White), South (Brown), East (Blue) and West (Green) laid out in a circular fashion, you go on an adventure with François Constantin to the four corners of the globe, with Shan Jiang’s art telling the story as you circumnavigate the installation.

An Evening Well Spent

Let’s face it, who could pass up an evening with Vacheron Constantin? We certainly wouldn’t, and neither would quite a few of our other media friends from around the country. Aside from previewing the Explore All Ways Possible exhibition, it was a chance to get hands on with a range of watches from the catalogue, as well as talk to people from the brand, such as Gael Porte, Vacheron Constantin’s South-East Asia and Oceania Managing Director along with Valentin Tremaud, Vacheron’s Regional Training Manager, both who flew in from Singapore and Quentin Chalier, Brand Director Oceania based in Sydney.

Of course, us media folk can’t go to a watch preview without trying on the watches in question. The Historiques American 1921 was a little bit of a favourite, with it’s iconic diagonal dial and on the new model, an amazing grained silver-toned dial.

The Overseas models also garnered a lot of attention too, from the newer 35mm models in steel or gold, and the 42mm titanium Overseas Tourbillon and some of Métiers d’Arts models too.

It was a great evening to help the maison celebrate the diversity of its watchmaking and a chance to see some fantastic heritage pieces that you may not get a chance to see again. A big thank you to the Vacheron Constantin team for hosting all of us, and putting on a great evening, and an exhibition that we are sure the watch community will love.
