The latest Premier Heritage Collection released by Breitling pays homage to the brand’s Founders Squad; three generations of men who changed the history of watchmaking. It all started with Léon Breitling who founded the company in 1884 and patented a timer/tachymeter timepiece that was able to measure any speed between 15 and 150km/h.

In 1915, Léon Breitling’s son Gaston was one of the first to create a wrist-worn chronograph that had an independent pusher at 2 o’clock. This was the innovation that was able to separate the start, stop and reset functions on chronograph timepieces, still used to this day.

In 1934, Léon’s grandson, Willy created the second independent chronograph pusher at 4 o’clock which was then patented. Willy Breitling also understood that the general public wanted a touch of luxury and beauty in their timepieces, not just simply to tell the time. This was what inspired Willy to design the very first Breitling Premier model in the 1940s, a stylish, accurate, and functional timepiece. Willy Breitling stated it best when he said “When a man puts on his watch, it is the unmistakable stamp of impeccable taste.”

This latest Premier Heritage Collection brings back to life Willy’s vision of creating timeless and elegant timepieces. There are a total of six watches, split into three categories; The Chronograph, The Duograph, and The Datora.
