Now, Omega has unveiled a truly special timepiece to commemorate the 50th anniversary of that mission. The image of the famous beagle is an exact copy of the pin given to NASA astronauts who receive a Silver Snoopy Award for their service.

The main dial of the new piece is also made from silver, and then laser engraved with Ag925. The sub dials, traditional mainstays of the Speedmaster design, are toned in a deep blue in keeping with the blue PVD coated hands and hour markers. It does appear that no more easter eggs are found dial side unlike previous Snoopy editions, the real fun is on the case back.
