Vacheron Constantin continues to expand the elegant 34.5mm Overseas lineup with a new duo: one in a familiar dial tone, the other in a full pink gold case.
Of the amazing brands that make up watchmaking’s “Big Three”, Vacheron Constantin seems to be the most complete of them all. I suppose that’s to be expected from an industry veteran with nearly three centuries of history, but the Richemont brand has made it clear that such a high standard isn’t enough. From offering its watches in a well-defined hierarchy to introducing modern conveniences across the range, Vacheron Constantin has consistently felt aware of both the watch world’s past and future. By combining the two, it crafts heritage-inspired contemporary timepieces for today’s enthusiasts.

When the Overseas collection was introduced in 1996, it embodied that philosophy. Having remained a cornerstone of the catalogue ever since, the iconic Overseas silhouette now spans a wide range of materials, complications and case sizes. Recently, Vacheron Constantin chose to focus on the latter, expanding its surprisingly versatile 34.5mm range with a double release of smaller Overseas models.
Malts & Crosses
The new Vacheron Constantin Overseas 34.5mm duo comes sized to… well, I suppose you can guess the case diameter. While it may sound better suited to the feminine wrist, it’s always important to never underestimate an integrated bracelet sports watch. They almost always wear slightly larger than you’d expect, and the Vacheron Constantin Overseas is no exception. On my wrist, it felt closer to 36mm than it did true to size, even without the bracelet attached.
Available in either stainless steel or 18k pink gold, each new reference brings its own distinctive wrist presence, character and, of course, price point to the table. Both Overseas 34.5mm models are fitted to integrated bracelets matching their respective materials.
Echoing the bezel’s sharp design, itself inspired by the brand’s Maltese Cross logo, each bracelet tapers down to a butterfly clasp. Not entirely notable on its own, sure, but Vacheron Constantin has gone the extra mile by implementing micro-adjustability into the butterfly clasp, allowing for a perfect fit every time.
This commitment to everyday luxury is further underscored by the bracelet’s interchangeability, which lets owners swap to the complimentary alligator leather or rubber strap included with each watch. The steel model comes with colour-matched red straps, while the pink gold reference pairs with contrasting white options. A material-matched interchangeable deployant clasp is also included, giving owners the opportunity to completely change the watch’s look on a whim.
Whole Lotta Red (& Gold)
While this pair of new Overseas references is new to the Vacheron Constantin catalogue, they arrive with plenty of familiar design cues. Naturally, the watch’s three-tiered construction and Maltese Cross motif remain as prominent as ever.
The first point of difference is the new pink gold reference, which comes in at 0.5mm smaller than its previous 35mm counterpart and does away with the 90-diamond-set bezel. The golden lacquer dial remains, however, finished with radiant sunray brushing alongside applied gold indices and lumed baton hands.
The steel model, on the other hand, comes fitted with a deep red dial that may look familiar to some. In fact, it’s the same rich red first seen on the Overseas Titanium Tourbillon released earlier this year. Red seems to have become something of a recurring design theme for Vacheron Constantin throughout 2026, and it’s nice to see the colour return once more, this time in a relatively more accessible package.
Cutting-Edge Calibre
Turning the watch around, the open caseback greets you with a familiar sight for many: the Calibre 1088/1. Beating at the luxury standard of 4Hz (28,800VpH) with a respectable 40-hour power reserve, the movement has become a common sight throughout the smaller Overseas lineup. The 144-component calibre also incorporates a soft iron casing ring, providing additional protection against magnetism.
What’s curious to me is that it doesn’t bear the Poinçon de Genève (Geneva Seal), unlike many of the other movements produced by Vacheron Constantin. This may be due to its use of a high-quality ébauche from a movement maker like Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, whose facilities sit outside the Canton of Geneva. Regardless, the movement remains every bit as refined as the rest of Vacheron Constantin’s catalogue, complete with a beautifully finished 22k gold automatic rotor.
Initial Thoughts
One of my biggest gripes with integrated bracelet sports watches is that I’ve never really found one that felt quite right. Because of the way they wear, they’ve always either felt far too big or far too small for my liking. Going into this new Vacheron Constantin Overseas duo, I expected much of the same until I actually put them on my wrist.
Even at 34.5mm, they still felt universally appealing, underscoring the quality of craftsmanship that has made Vacheron Constantin the icon it is today. So, while these two new Overseas models may simply expand a beloved collection, they also demonstrate Vacheron Constantin’s willingness to continually diversify its offerings, ensuring there’s a watch to suit almost anyone, anywhere, at any time.
