Four one-of-a-kind, gem-set Rolex Daytonas will be auctioned by Phillips to support education and environmental conservation.
As part of Rolex’s Perpetual Planet Initiative, the Swiss watchmaker has unveiled four unique Cosmograph Daytona timepieces inspired by Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, collectively known as “The Four Seasons”! As you would expect with these pieces heading to auction, they are all one-of-a-kind timepieces that interpret their respective seasons through different precious-metal cases, natural-stone dials and combinations of coloured gemstones across the dial, bezel and case.
Rolex created the Perpetual Planet Initiative to support various organisations and projects working across exploration, environmental conservation, ocean protection and wilderness preservation. For this charity auction, Rolex is using its watchmaking and gem-setting expertise to support causes focused on protecting the natural world while also supporting future generations.
All proceeds from the sale will directly benefit the Federer Foundation and Re, two organisations connected to Rolex Testimonees Roger Federer and Leonardo DiCaprio. The Federer Foundation champions early and foundational learning for children across Southern Africa and Switzerland, while Re works alongside Indigenous Peoples, local communities and conservation organisations to protect and restore ecosystems worldwide.
The four watches are offered individually across four separate lots through Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo. This allows collectors and enthusiasts to bid on each exceptional seasonal edition independently, potentially broadening participation and generating stronger overall proceeds for the beneficiary organisations. While Rolex itself hasn’t outright stated that this is the reason for separating the watches, it gives each unique piece the opportunity to establish its own value at auction.
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Spring” Ref. 126599 SAVL
Representing the season of Spring is the Cosmograph Daytona reference 126599 SAVL. This timepiece is presented in an 18-carat white gold case with the iconic Oyster bracelet. Each individual Cosmograph Daytona has a distinctive personality that is portrayed through various stone dials and gem-setting, with the colours of these elements allowing each watch to stand out beautifully.
The dial for this Spring edition is crafted from apple-green chrysoprase, which is certainly a unique colour that stands out from the other three models. It may not be as bold or vibrant as the other editions, but it reflects Spring nicely through its fresh green appearance, symbolising the new growth and life associated with the season. The three sub-counters are presented in purple lepidolite, creating a subtle contrast against the apple-green dial.
The purple colour continues into the gem-setting of the timepiece, with the hour markers comprising eight baguette-cut and three square-cut purple sapphires at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions, all set within 18-carat white gold. The bezel contains 36 trapezoid-cut purple sapphires totalling approximately 5.57 carats. Surrounding the bezel is the gem-set case, which features 54 brilliant-cut diamonds decorating the lugs and crown guards.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Summer” Ref. 126595 SARO
The Summer edition is easily the most vibrant and my personal favourite out of the four editions. Reference 126595 SARO combines an 18-carat Everose gold case with the Oyster bracelet, which gives the timepiece a warm tone to start with. This sets the perfect foundation for the brighter colours used throughout the dial and gem-setting, which gives this particular Cosmograph Daytona a more playful and energetic look.
The Everose gold construction of the timepiece is paired with a beautiful turquoise dial that immediately creates a vivid contrast and catches the eye. The three chronograph counters also contrast against the dial, as they are crafted from heart of ruby. This introduces a deeper pink shade than the Everose gold, which is further complemented by the gem-setting.
The hour markers are made up of eight baguette-cut and three square-cut pink sapphires set in 18-carat pink gold. A further 36 trapezoid-cut pink sapphires, totalling approximately 4.32 carats, are placed on the bezel. This creates a stunning visual that not only complements the chronograph sub-dials and 18-carat Everose gold case, but also produces a deep contrast against the turquoise blue dial, making it immediately eye-catching. The lugs and crown guards are also fitted with 54 brilliant-cut diamonds, adding another layer of brilliance to an already expressive design.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Autumn” Ref. 126598 TML
For the Autumn edition, Rolex takes a noticeably warmer and earthier approach with reference 126598 TML. The 18-carat yellow gold case and Oyster bracelet suit the theme beautifully, providing a rich golden base that reflects the natural colours associated with the season.
The standout feature is arguably the yellow mookaite dial, which honestly could make this piece fit the Summer season nicely as well. The dial delivers a much warmer and more vivid appearance than the other stone dials used across this series. While the contrast isn’t as stark as the “Summer” edition above, Rolex has used green chrysoprase for the three sub-counters, which complements the warm and soft aesthetic of the timepiece.
This Autumn edition is fitted with green tourmalines that carry its warm and luscious appearance beyond the dial, with eight baguette-cut and three square-cut stones forming the hour markers. The bezel is set with 36 trapeze-cut green tourmalines totalling approximately 4.32 carats, while 54 brilliant-cut diamonds decorate the lugs and crown guards. Against the yellow gold construction, these green and white gemstones give the Autumn edition a beautifully rich appearance.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona “Winter” Ref. 126596 SABV
The final edition of the four unique “Four Seasons” Cosmograph Daytonas is the Winter edition, and it is arguably the boldest one yet, with the coolest colour palette in the entire collection. The timepiece comes housed in a 950 platinum case, which is once again paired with the Oyster bracelet. The naturally cool white tone of the platinum works well here, complementing the blue and purple elements of the timepiece.
While the gem-setting certainly captures attention, the star of the show here is the dial. The iridescent blue opal dial brings together changing shades of blue, green, and purple, depending on how the light hits its surface. Then there are the three lapis lazuli chronograph counters, which add a darker contrast while retaining the cold blue tones associated with Winter.
This is also the only edition in the collection not to feature coloured gemstones for the indices, which honestly makes sense here, as it gives more attention to the iridescent blue opal dial. Rolex has fitted eight baguette-cut and three square-cut diamonds within 18-carat white gold settings. The bezel, on the other hand, differs, as it features 36 trapezoid-cut sapphires arranged in a blue-to-fuchsia gradient, totalling approximately 5.57 carats. Another 54 brilliant-cut diamonds are set across the lugs and crown guards, completing the iciest and most luxurious interpretation of the collection.

The charity auction for the four unique “Four Seasons” Cosmograph Daytonas will take place in London on Monday, 28 September 2026, with Phillips Senior Consultant Aurel Bacs conducting the sale. Phillips also describes this as “Rolex’s first-ever charity auction,” making the event particularly significant for both the brand and the collecting community. Considering the timepieces that will be offered at auction, one can imagine that interest from collectors will be incredibly high, especially as each seasonal edition is a completely unique Rolex creation.
More importantly, however, all proceeds from the auction will benefit the Federer Foundation and Re, giving these four exceptional creations a greater purpose by supporting childhood education and protecting the natural ecosystems of our planet.
