Introduction To LVMH Watch Week 2024

by Sameera Gamage

LVMH 2024 starts this week, and we are very excited to see what it offers us this year!

LVMH watch week is the first official watch event of the calendar year. Although it only covers four brands, they are some of the biggest in the watch industry. LVMH Watch Week started in 2019, making this the fifth edition of the luxury event, held from January 28th to February 1st in Miami this year. As you may know, LVMH is a family-run group that houses an astonishing 75 luxury brands that makeup six different sectors.

These sectors include Wines & Spirits, Fashion & Leather Goods, Perfumes & Cosmetics, Selective Retailing, “Other Activities”, and, of course, our favourite, Watches & Jewelry. LVMH and it’s Maison’s pride themselves in upholding an unparalleled heritage of time-honoured craftsmanship and creative skills and take great care in protecting and developing savoir-faire that has sometimes been passed on for centuries.

“Our model, which is based on a long-term vision, values the heritage of our Houses and stimulates creativity and excellence. It is the driving force for the Group’s success and the guarantee of its future.”

Bernad Arnault – Chairman And Cheif Executive Officer
One of our favourite releases from LVMH Watch Week 2023 is the TAG Heuer Carrera 60th Anniversary.

The Watches and Jewelry sector is the most recently established sector of LVMH, bringing together some of the biggest watch manufacturers in Switzerland. LVMH states regarding these houses that “the watchmaking side capitalizes on the complementary positioning of its Houses: TAG Heuer’s international stature, Hublot’s strong dynamic of innovation, Zenith’s age-old savoir-faire and Dior’s creativity. In jewelry and high jewelry, the Houses of Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., Chaumet, Fred and Repossi employ their bold creativity and perfectly mastered savoir-faire to constantly surprise their customers and offer them the objects they desire.”

The 2023 edition of LVMH Watch Week presented in Singapore brought together four power-houses of the watchmaking industry: TAG Heuer, Zenith, Hublot and Bulgari. Now, the 2024 edition, showcased in Miami, welcomes two more brands to the mix; Daniel Roth and Gérald Genta. These two iconic Maisons have been relaunched within La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.

Newly Appointed CEO of LVMH Watches – Frédéric Arnault (former CEO of TAG Heuer)

The 2024 edition will certainly throw up some exciting new releases, as early this year, two of the four existing houses (TAG Heuer & Zenith) had major internal restructuring of CEO’s. The then head of TAG Heuer (Frédéric Arnault) is now named CEO of LVMH Watches, with former Zenith CEO Julien Tornare taking over as head of TAG Heuer. Benoit de Clerck, the Cheif Commercial Officer (CCO) at Panerai, is now the head of Zenith. You can read more about this restructuring in our in-depth article here!
