Celebrity Watch Spotting – Carlos Sainz Richard Mille Collection

by Sameera Gamage

Carlos Sainz has quite the Richard Mille collection. In this article we look at the special Richard Mille pieces chosen by the Ferrari F1 driver.

Earlier this week, Sunday 3rd of September, Carlos Sainz made headlines in the watch world as he had one of Richard Mille timepieces (RM67-02) stolen outside of the Armani Hotel in Milan (for more information read our article here). Luckily for the F1 driver, he was able to chase down the thieves and retrieve the timepiece thanks to help from some of the locals. Carlos Sainz, however, isn’t the first Ferrari driver to be targeted for their Richard Mille timepiece. Last year in Tuscany, Charles LeClerc had his Richard Mille stolen off his wrist after he was mobbed by fans.

Carloz Sainz has been spotted with several different Richard Mille’s, and one who is not well versed in Formula One may be inclined to ask if his love for Richard Mille really is that big. Carlos Sainz certainly loves these timepieces as Richard Mille and Formula One go hand in hand, with the brand applying techniques and materials used in F1 racing car developments for their watchmaking. However, for those that may not know, Ferrari is also sponsored by Richard Mille, a partnership that started back in 2021. As Ferrari is sponsored by the watchmaker, it is a requirement for the drivers to wear the timepieces outside of the races.

So with that, we showcase the Richard Mille timepieces Carlos Sainz has been spotted wearing, whether at press conferences, photoshoots or just during his normal daily life activities.
