Novak Djokovic’s iconic Hublot Meca-10 joins him in celebrating his 22nd Grand Slam title.

Novak Djokovic has just recently celebrated the biggest victory of his life during the 2023 Australian Open against Stefanos Tsitsipas. The world number one now has 22 grand slam titles to his name, matching the record set by Rafael Nadal. This also makes Djokovic’s 10h Australian Open title. Quite an impressive feed indeed. Accompanying Djokovic on this momentous occasion was his trusty Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Ceramic Blue.

Djokovic’s Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Ceramic Blue made its debut during Baselworld 2018 and since then has accompanied the legendary tennis star to many triumphant wins, including his 7th Wimbledon title.

Hublot’s Big Bang Meca-10 comes in a 45mm blue ceramic case with a micro-blasted finish. The bezel with its six H-symbol screws accompanies the case with a blue ceramic finish as well. The lower components of the bezel are built from black resin composites. The watch comes with a waterproof rating of 100m while also featuring anti-reflective polished scratch-resistant sapphire crystals.

The dial is certainly a thing of beauty, a mixture of technicality and aesthetic appeal. The matte blue skeletonised dial gives way for most of the movement to be seen. Components such as the miniature seconds sub-counters, power reserve indicator cog-wheel system, and the two barrels stand out nicely without compromising the readability of the dial. Another great feature on the dial is the opening at 3 o’clock, which shows a red dot whenever the movement comes close to running out of power.

Powering this Big Bang Meca-10 Ceramic Blue is Hublot’s in-house movement, the Caliber HUB1201. Taking just over two years for full development, the Calibre HUB1201 is a hand-wound movement that operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21,600 VpH) and gives out a staggering 10-day power reserve.

The timepiece comes with a blue rubber strap that matches the case nicely. The interior of the strap is black, and it comes with a Hublot-signed folding clip which is made up of black refined ceramic and black-plated titanium.

The Big Bang Meca-10 Ceramic Blue certainly has a great wrist presence. The watch stands out beautifully whenever Djokovic takes centre stage, and we can see why he loves it so much. A watch where the technical prowess matches the visual appearance, the Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 is made to be a winner.
