Last month, Chopard proudly announced its latest boutique opening, this time in the fashion capital of Melbourne: Chadstone. This new boutique has been carefully designed to reflect the Maison’s commitment to artisanal excellence. The space embodies the spirit of contemporary luxury, all the while remaining rooted in the timeless elegance for which Chopard is renowned.

As Mr. Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard, states, “The opening of our new boutique in Melbourne is a proud moment for Chopard and a meaningful step in the ongoing journey of our family-run company. At the heart of Chopard lies a deep respect for craftsmanship and the exceptional skills of our artisans. Our Maison places great importance on preserving these traditional techniques to ensure that the art of fine watchmaking and high jewelry continues to thrive.”

The boutique is located in the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere (Chadstone Shopping Centre, Shop 339A/1341 Dandenong Rd, Chadstone VIC 3148), with the boutique’s façade spanning an impressive eight metres in width and four meters in height. Naturally illuminated by Chadstone’s iconic glass-domed roof, the boutique offers a warm, refined, and inviting atmosphere. A “home away from home”. The design of the space is inspired by the vision of the Scheufele family, owners of Chopard since 1963.

At the heart of the boutique is a bespoke Murano glass chandelier by Barovier & Toso. Founded in 1295, Barovier & Toso is one of the world’s oldest glassmaking companies. The brand is renowned for its mastery of traditional Murano techniques, while being celebrated for creating unique, hand-blown glass pieces that blend artistic heritage with contemporary design. The chandelier for the boutique space has been used throughout other Chopard boutiques. It is made up of individually hand-blown elements which shimmer in the light, offering a beautifully elegant and poetic tribute to the Maison’s dedication to craftsmanship and creativity.

Further enhancing the boutique’s refined character are custom furnishings, which are upholstered in exclusive fabrics designed by Rubelli, a prestigious Venetian textile house. This luxurious setting creates an inviting environment where Chopard’s iconic jewellery and timepiece collections can be discovered in comfort and style, from the Happy Diamonds and Alpine Eagle timepieces to the L.U.C and Haute Joaillerie masterpiece collections.

Australia has been a long-growing market for luxury watches and jewellery, with Melbourne being recognised as a hub for discerning collectors. Not only does this latest Chadstone boutique bring the brand closer to its Australian clientele, but it also introduces a fresh retail concept that has been carefully thought out to offer a richer, more personlised experience. This boutique opening showcases Chopard’s long-term commitment to the region, expanding on its footprint beyond existing wholesale partnerships and aligning with the increasing demand for high-end and sustainable luxury.

With this opening, Chopard further strengthens its presence in Australia and reaffirms its dedication to creating exceptional spaces where clients can explore the Maison’s universe–a universe built on emotion, excellence, and enduring style.

“This newspace in Chadstone allows us to share that legacy with our Australian clientele. As Artisans of Emotions, we are committed to offering creations that not only reflect technical mastery and beauty. but also carry the emotional depth of a heritage built on passion and precision.”
