So, for 2026, they’ve decided to commemorate this partnership with a new rendition of their flagship Captain Cook collection, paying homage to one of the most watched sports in the entire world.

Ever since returning to the fold in 2017, the Rado Captain Cook collection has become the backbone of the brand. Its rugged specifications and heritage-inspired silhouette lend themselves nicely to horological artistry, which is why it was selected to become a special edition to commemorate the European Cricket partnership.
This version of the Captain Cook certainly makes its presence known, standing at a bold 43mm in case diameter, 49.8mm lug-to-lug and 16.2mm in thickness. The bold profile of the watch is further compounded by Rado’s use of a two-tone case finish. Combining steel and yellow gold PVD, it produces a suitably retro yet robustly elegant look for the new watch. Paired with Rado’s high-tech ceramic bezel insert in blue, there’s no mistaking the Captain Cook European Cricket when it’s on the wrist.
The extravagant elegance continues along the bracelet, which has also been given the two-tone treatment down to its titanium butterfly clasp. This might all seem like standard fare, but you may have realised that Rado’s signature spinning anchor logo has migrated from its usual spot to just beneath the Captain Cook designation. In its place, three golden studs appear, symbolising wickets taken from a bird’s-eye view.
In this scene, Rado has effectively turned their logo into the cricket ball approaching the wickets. They’ve even subtly changed the red background to precisely match the coloured leather of a cricket ball, which is echoed on the tip of the second hand.
