It’s now February, and Cupid will be flying around shortly, firing his arrows of love at couples, and what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with “His and Hers” watches!

Imagine this. Valentine’s Day date night, you look lovingly across the table from your partner at a nice dinner. They’re thinking, “Wow, this is what true love feels like!” They would be right, but what they don’t know is, you’re looking lovingly at the watch on their wrist as it complements yours perfectly. Yes, it’s true horological love! And your partner is pretty good too…

This scenario may sound familiar, or not, but either way, it’s humorous and with many brands now having models that are designed to create the “Perfect Match” -ing pair, we’ve assembled 10 brands which you and your Valentine can enjoy. And if not for Valentine’s Day, for any other special time of year…

Audemars Piguet Code 11.59

Why not start with something really special (also, we’re going in alphabetical order, so it makes sense), like the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59. These are underrated watches and are so easy to wear, plus, they are slightly more obtainable than the Royal Oak, so you could potentially grab yourself an Audemars Piguet His and Hers.

AP Valentine's Day
The Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 His and Hers in 18k Pink Gold and Bleu Nuit dials – could be a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day!

For this pairing, we’ve chosen the 41mm pink gold chronograph with Bleu Nuit dial for him, and the 38mm time-only version in 18k pink gold and matching Bleu Nuit dial for her. The chronograph is a little more masculine in size and appearance, whereas the smaller 38mm, while it may be on the larger side for some ladies, still looks elegant with the dark blue pearl-effect alligator leather strap.

MSRP: 41MM Chronograph – CHF 43,300 / 38mm time-only – CHF 29,800

Breitling SuperOcean Heritage

Next up is Breitling, and why not select one of the new models that had such success for the brand in 2025? The Super Ocean Heritage received a makeover last year, and it was very well received by watch lovers all around. With the vintage style cues coming in, new in Manufacture movements in the men’s time only collection, plus size and ergonomic refinements, they made waves!

The Breitling SuperOcean Heritage 44mm B31 for him, and the 36mm for her.

The great thing is with this collection, Breitling has narrowed the choices a little, making it easier to choose from, and with the smaller sizes, so nice colourways too. We’ve chosen the 44mm SuperOcean with the gold accents for him, and having worn this personally, I can say this was one of the nicest of the releases. It also matches nicely with the 36mm in steel for her, so you have a great couple’s pair when out on those beachside Valentine’s Day dates!

MSRP: 44mm SuperOcean Heritage B31 – A$11,290 / 36mm Super Ocean Heritage Automatic Blue – A$8,790

Cartier Ballon Bleu

What would a Valentine’s Day list be without Cartier? I mean, even the boxes and bags are red. Cartier is designed for a day like this, or any day, really! Cartier has so many iconic and timeless designs in their watch collection, so choosing a matching pair wasn’t easy as we could have gone with any collection and it would have been perfect. But we finally decided on something a little out of the (square) box, with the Ballon Bleu!

The Cartier Ballon Bleu in both 42mm for him, and the 33mm with a diamond bezel for her

The Ballon Bleu is one of Cartier’s more underrated watches, primarily as some of the most iconic models, such as Tank, Panthere and Santos, do overshadow it. But these are cool watches, and when you see one on the wrist, they stand out. So for these, we have selected the 33mm automatic with the silver Guilloche dial and diamond bezel for her – a very classy watch that combines dress and sports DNA. For him, the larger 42mm steel model can be a great everyday watch, at home, in the office, or out and about.

MSRP: 42mm Automatic – A$12,700 / 33mm Automatic – A$20,300

Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang

Hublot may not be a brand that springs straight to mind when it comes to His and Hers watches, but the Spirit of Big Bang collection has some great (almost) matching pairs for this Valentine’s Day. These pieces are form-fitting to the wrist thanks to the curved case design, and are for those watch lovers who want to add something a little different to the collection.

The Hublot Spirit Of Big Bang 42mm Chrono and 32mm Diamonds for him and her on Valentine’s Day.

For our matching pair, we’ve chosen the Spirit of Big Bang 42mm Chronograph in titanium, using the Hublot modified Zenith El Primero movement and the more dainty 32mm Spirit of Big Bang in steel and diamonds for her. Yes, these are not “exact” pairs, but they do go so well together and look great on the wrist. We’ve seen a few ladies wearing the smaller Spirit of Big Bangs, and trust us, they look super cool on.

MSRP: 42mm Chronograph – A$39,000 / 32mm Steel Diamonds – A$26,600

IWC Ingenieur

IWC’s Ingenieur is a great versatile sports watch, and as of last year, it now comes in smaller sizes for smaller wrists, and with the 40mm and 35mm collections, it makes a great watch for his Valentine’s Day Selection. With the 40mm in multiple colour ways, and the 35mm in classic black or white dials, plus a full 18k rose gold model, there are a few choices here to pick from. But, pick we have to.

The elegant and dressy IWC Ingenieur in 40mm and 35mm are a great way to celebrate this Valentine’s Day

Now we could have gone for the steel models in black or white dial, like the one I took to Tasmania with me on a 10 day adventure, but the full rose gold models are stunning, so we have chosen these. The 40mm with the black dial is a beautiful, luxe model of the classic sports watch and feels great on the wrist, as you would expect. For the ladies, the 35mm full gold, with a gold dial, makes the perfect companion for those who want to feel a million bucks!

MSRP: IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 – A$76,900 / IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 – A$65,500

Rolex Datejust

What collection is complete without the staple Rolex Datejust? Ok, I’m being facetious here, but you have to admit, the classic Datejust is such a versatile watch, and the great thing about Rolex is that they have such a broad range of colours, sizes and material combinations, so there really is a piece for everyone. But what style combination is better than a Datejust on a Jubilee bracelet and white gold Fluted Bezel? Answer: There isn’t, and when it comes to Valentine’s Day, why would you want anything else…

The Rolex Datejust 41 and 31 in the mint green dial

Now, there is a massive range of dials in the smaller 31mm models for Her, and personally, I think the pink with diamonds is stunning and such a beautiful piece, but as we want to be a matching watch couple, we couldn’t go past the mint green dial in both the 41mm and 31mm on a Jubilee bracelet and white gold fluted bezel. We could have suggested the Datejust 36 for her, but the 31mm is just a little more elegant and can be dressed up and down so easily.

MSRP: Datejust 41 – A$19,950 / Datejust 31 – A$16,050

Seiko Presage

The Seiko Presage is a great all-around watch and sits nicely at an entry-level price point. When it comes to looking at a His and Hers Seiko, then there are a few collections that can do the trick, but we couldn’t go past the Cocktail Time collection due to the design, dial colours and overall value proposition for this Valentine’s Day guide.

The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time SSK041J & SRPJ64J – same same, but different

For this his and hers, we’ve picked the “Acacia” Cocktail Time GMT, which we reviewed a little while back and the more recent “Frozen Banana Daiquiri” Cocktail time in the 34mm size, which is one watch that I had my wife review last month, and she loved wearing it. These aren’t an identical matching pair, but they do share similarities, and on each wrist, they will look great paired together this Valentine’s Day.

MSRP: Seiko Presage Cocktail Time GMT SSK041J – A$925 / Seiko Presage Cocktail Time SRPL64J – A$950

TAG Heuer Aquaracer

For the sportier couple, the TAG Heuer Aquaracer is a great choice as the collection has a large range of watches for a his and hers pair across a range of colours. But, we’ve stuck to the classics for this pairing, and chosen the TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional GMT in the 42mm for him, and for her, the 36mm Aquaracer Professional Date.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT and Date for a sporty his and hers watch

The Aquaracer was overhauled in 2024, when TAG Heuer released a new look and a more refined case. We reviewed the green GMT model and were pretty impressed, especially at the price point. The smaller reference is a slimmed-down version at 36mm, and we recently reviewed the “Summer Diamonds” model on a white rubber strap, which was a great, vibrant model for the summer months. Whichever model you choose, these are a great bang for the buck at the mid-level price point.

MSRP: Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT – A$6,850 / Aquaracer Professional 300 Date – A$5,750

Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle

Vacheron Constantin produces exceptional watches, and while the Overseas collection is one of the most sought-after due to the constant demand for sports watches, the ever-elegant Traditionnelle cannot be overlooked. When it comes to choosing a His and Hers piece for this Valentine’s Day, the choice was easy – The manual winding Traditionnelle in rose gold and green dial.

The matching rose gold and green dial Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle in 38mm and 33mm

If you’ve seen Vacheron’s green dials in person, you know what we are talking about here, and paired with the rose gold and matching green alligator strap, this pair is simply stunning. For Him, the 38mm with small seconds is both timeless and understated, and for Her, the 33mm time only with a diamond set bezel will look amazing in that evening dress. Definitely for the couple who enjoy the finer things in life.

MSRP: 38mm – A$34,800 / 33mm – A$54,000

Zenith Defy Skyline

Last, but certainly not least (only as we’re going alphabetically) is Zenith. We actually picked the blue dial models for last year’s Valentine’s Day, but recently, Zenith released new models perfect for a his and hers pair in a unisex 36mm and matching silver dials – one with diamonds on the bezel, and one without.

The new Zenith Defy Skyline 36mm silver dial collection

Now, if you’re a guy who may want a larger model than a 36mm, the Zenith has the silver/white dial in a 41mm size which is perfect for most men’s wrists, and if you’re a girl who’s not a fan of a plain steel bracelet, then Zenith has you covered with a range of coloured straps to zjoosh it up a little!

MSRP: His 36mm Steel – A$14,800 / Hers 36mm Diamond – A$20,900

Head to Zenith-watches.com for more information.

So, there you have 10 pairs of His and Hers watches that are perfect for romantic date nights. Don’t forget Valentine’s Day, whatever you do; otherwise, you may not live it down, and if in doubt, a pick from the above will keep you safe and get you some extra brownie points.
