Swatch’s latest expansion into the Land Down Under sees them opening their biggest store in the heart of Melbourne.
In a major announcement, Swatch unveiled their new flagship boutique at 260 Collins Street Melbourne City, joining their other prime retail locations around Australia – Pitt Street, Bondi Junction, Queen Street, South Wharf, and the Murray Street Mall outlets.
Known for its vibrant, diverse, and relatively affordable timepieces, this newest Swatch boutique will feature everything from its vast lineup. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with some of Melbourne’s other prominent international retail brands, customers looking to visit the new store are all invited to view and discover all the latest core Swatch styles within the 239 sqm ‘walk-through’ space.
The store has been designed with an edgy street appeal in mind, decorated with LED screens and totems constructed with metallic brick and integrated modern glass. Within this space, customers will be free to browse all Swatch collections, including the Swatch NEON, Swatch Art Journey, BIG BOLD, WHAT IF?, and the red-hot Blancpain/Omega collaborations SistemFiftyFathoms and MoonSwatch.
What’s also interesting to me is that this new boutique will also introduce a new bar concept aligning perfectly with Swatch’s signature style, allowing prospective customers to be presented with Swatch pieces in a fun, relaxing and casual manner. With this new store, Swatch Collins Street has certainly positioned itself to be a must-visit for watch enthusiasts in Melbourne. I, for one, can’t wait to book a flight there to see it and all the other exciting Melbourne boutiques for myself – though I may get caught up at the bar…
